Randy S. Hicks, CDT with wife, Roni, son, Ted Jennings, of R & R Restorations, Inc. have operated their Dental Laboratory in Austin, Texas since 1982.  Randy is a 1977 graduate of an ADA Certified Dental Technology program at Riverside City College, CA.  He has had Post graduate training in Pankey techniques, advanced gnathological occlusion at the FACE institute, San Francisco, Noble-biocare implant training and the latest advances in dental technology.

Before opening the lab in Austin, Randy trained in both large and small laboratories.  He has also gained a unique perspective in clinical chairside dental technology, working as an "in-house" technician for several dental offices.

Randy pioneered modern airbrush techniques for opaquing and layering ceramics using the airbrush to enhance light energy.  In the mid 80's Randy lobbied for the CDT law in Texas and participated on the Board of Directors for the Dental Laboratory Association of Texas.

R & R Restorations is a Certified Emax-Ivoclar and InVizion-Vita machinable ceramics laboratory. Randy has trained and lectured for Vident and Sirona in advanced milling techniques.  Our laboratory has evolved through two generations of the Sirona Inlab milling machine.
